Topic: 10 Things Every Lawyer Should Know About Insurance

This presentation will involve a high-level discussion of the major insurance related topics that all lawyers should be aware of to help serve their clients. We will cover the different types of insurance policies that are often seen, how these policies operate (including their similarities and differences), and what to do if you or your client thinks you may have a claim. The presentation will address some of the main legal principles in the insurance coverage space, including rules of policy interpretation and other common legal principles that may arise as a result of a coverage dispute. Finally, we will discuss common grounds for coverage disputes and how best to address those issues to have positive outcomes for our clients.
