Reflections with Judge Copeland
After thirty-five years of service with the courts in Collin County, including both the County Court at Law and the Statutory Probate Court, Judge Weldon Copeland will be retiring at the end of January. The Estate Planning and Probate section will pay tribute to his outstanding career and look back at memories and events that have transpired during his judgeship at our January luncheon.
The location is Matt's Rancho Martinez, 401 Central Expy S, Allen. Due to an anticipated larger audience at the meeting, it is necessary that you RSVP your attendance in order that we may have sufficient seating and food for the luncheon. The registration deadline is January 10, NOON. Please plan to arrive no later than 11:40 am to go through the buffet and be seated by 11:50.
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO RSVP ONLY IF YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND IN ORDER TO HAVE AN ACCURATE HEAD COUNT FOR FOOD. In the event you cannot attend, please notify the section chair, Gary Ward, at gary@gward.net, so that the head count can be reduced. The section is charged for your non-attendance if it is not adjusted in advance of the meeting. THIS MEETING IS OPEN TO ALL CCBA MEMBERS.
We will be compiling a book of written memories to be presented to Judge Copeland in February. If you want to email your memory or story to copeland.retirement@storykeeper.com it will be included in printed form. You may also attach a jpeg photograph with your email submission to be included with the comment. There is a strict deadline of. January 15th to receive your email as the book compilation will begin on that date.
There will be no CLE credit for our January meeting.
