The Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Collin County Bar Association is back after a summer break! The details for the next meeting are as follows:
When: Friday, August 11th at 11:45 a.m.
Where: Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant, 3420 N Central Expy, Plano, TX 75075
The cost of lunch will be $23.00 per person, which includes tax and tip, and can be paid in person at the time lunch is served.

Topic: Corporate Transparency Act - What Estate Planners Need to Know & Impact on the Estate Planning Practice
As the most significant anti-money laundering legislation in U.S. since the passage of the USA Patriot Act in 2001, the Corporate Transparenty Act of 2021 ("CTA") goes into effect January 1, 2024 and is not getting the attention it deserves. This presentation will include an overview of CTA reporting requirements, noncompliance penalties, and general impact of the CTA on practitioners.
