TOPIC: SUCCESSFUL SUCCESSION STRATEGIES

No matter the size of your firm, your succession strategy (or lack thereof) can make or break the firm. The presentation will cover best practices for solos and small firms, partner transition/retirement, client succession, unexpected events, and how to audit a current plan for deficiencies.

SPEAKER: JESS BAILEY

Jess Bailey is the Founding and Managing Attorney of the Bailey Law Firm. She has two offices, downtown and The Woodlands. Jess has been practicing for over 10 years as a transactional attorney. Her clients consist of real estate developers, portfolio companies, family owned businesses and other privately held companies. Having previously worked in real estate, banking, finance, and environmental consulting, Jess developed an extensive experience with a diversity of contracts and negotiations, most of which businesses encounter on a daily basis. This experience also provided her a greater insight into the many operational issues that companies face every day. This experience allows Jess to not only be an advocate for her clients but an educator as well. Jess holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Biology from University of Missouri in St. Louis and a dual Master of Science from Nova Southeastern University in Coastal Zone Management and Marine Environmental Science. Jess’s law degree was awarded by South Texas College of Law in Houston. Her passion lies in connecting ambitions with accomplishments by providing unparalleled transactional & compliance counsel to individuals and companies.
