Topic: Why Smart People Give Stupid Testimony

In this engaging TED-style talk, veteran litigator Ken Berman, author of the American Bar Association best-selling book Reinventing Witness Preparation, will showcase testimony from Bill Cosby, Bill Gates, Paula Deen, and Tom Brady to show why smart people often testify very badly and how a paradigm shift in witness preparation can eliminate career-ending or case-losing testimony.  As a bonus, Ken will also explore the ethics of a common witness preparation occurrence: lawyers crafting better answers for their clients.

Speaker: Kenneth Berman, Esq., of Nutter McClennen & Fish LLP in Boston

MCLE:  1.0 hour, .25 Ethics (CCBA Members)
