SOLO/SMALL FIRM SECTION VIRTUAL MEETING
JUNE 28, NOON
TOPIC: "What you need to know about Cyber Threats directed at lawyers and clients"
All lawyers and clients rely on Cloud Computing services so it is essential that lawyers understand ethical issues associated with cyber risks associated with international, federal, and state criminal laws, contracts, and GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws. We all see daily headlines about cyberattacks, but we need to better understand how to protect ourselves and clients. There will be a discussion about cyber insurance which is critical in 2021 and beyond. Lawyers need understand ethical risks they may have when they help clients who conduct business on the Internet, and as a result all lawyers must understand how to advise clients regarding eCommerce. Internet jurisdiction has become more complicated and will be part of this presentation.
