Description:   Recently, several states have changed their laws to allow for the medical use and even recreational use of marijuana and CBD products.  Federal law has also authorized the removal of many restrictions on the growth of hemp crops, which can be a source of CBD.  Severe penalties still remain under the Controlled Substances Act and Texas law, and businesses need to know what to expect in this changing environment.
